Easy Tasks

If you're just starting to edit the wiki and not sure where to contribute, or don't have a lot of time on your hands, these are the quickest, easiest tasks that would help everyone out.

• Keep articles up-to-date and correct: James & Mike Mondays and Talk About Games are the pages which usually require the most updates, as there are new episodes weekly or bi-weekly.
• Check out the Formatting Rules: General rules for the style of the wiki. Contains useful guidelines for editing and helps you to avoid the common pitfalls of other editors.
• Watch out for Out-Of-Character names in place of In-Character names: Just as the Nerd isn't James Rolfe, remember that Guitar Guy isn't Kyle Justin. Common mistake.
• Italics are important: Every proper name and sold product should be italicized, even in Transcripts. (Do reverse italics when inside action brackets!)
• Write suggestions for the Mobile Home Page: Message me or make a Forum thread about what kinds of Articles or Transcripts you'd like to see Featured on the Mobile version of the site.

Intermediate and Advanced Tasks

These tasks are a bit (or maybe a lot) harder, or may require some technical expertise. Trying to break down these tasks into little bits at a time is also welcome. :) These tasks are listed from least to most difficult, but it's all relative to what you, as an editor, can do.

• Timeline Updates: The Timeline article was created by my fellow admin Lukas Exemplar. :) It could use many more notable events, like first guest character appearances and the Nerd's first uses of various consoles.
• Summary Page Creation: Simplified summaries of the AVGN episodes exist as well as the Transcripts, but more need to be created. Here's a good example of one: Spider-Man. Adding "Errors" and "Trivia" sections highly recommended.
• Transcript Editing and Creating: Follow the Formatting Rules, be creative, and you'll do fine. :)
• Fixing the Infobox templates: They need an upgrade to become more mobile-friendly. Relevant links:

• Portability Issues: There are a lot of them, I've only just scratched the surface. But we're not alone, the folks at Fandom (Wikia) have created this awesome site for us: http://portability.wikia.com/wiki/Portability_Hub
• Creating an Navbox: This would be difficult to work on until the portability issues have been resolved, but the wiki has never had a proper Navigation Box, so design suggestions for one are welcome!
• Tabbed Transcripts: This is a far future idea, but if the Transcripts were separated into HTML5 tabs, it would be possible to post more than one version of a Transcript on the same page (ie. AVGN DVDs VS. Cinemassacre VS. YouTube VS. ScrewAttack versions of AVGN episode transcripts).
